Description

  • Translate and review English content into Korean while preserving the original meaning and ensuring readability for the target audience.
  • Work across a range of content types, including informational, legal, marketing, product, and support materials.
  • Handle creative UI and marketing translation tasks, including copy edit and research work.
  • Take ownership of incoming work for the account and contribute to the overall success of the program.
  • Apply character restrictions and other project instructions accurately when translating and transcreating content.
  • Communicate the rationale behind transcreation choices clearly when needed.
  • Collaborate within a multicultural, international team and support ongoing client work.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across terminology and translation deliverables.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience translating and reviewing content in the relevant subject matter.
  • Proficiency in Korean with native-level fluency in the target language.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience across marketing, product, legal, and informational content areas.
  • Familiarity with translation and terminology tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions, including character restrictions.
  • Technical knowledge in UI and customer support content, plus creative writing skills for synopses and episodic titles.
  • Ability to explain the rationale behind transcreation decisions.
  • Remote work location based in the US or Canada.
  • Freelance availability with an estimated 2–3 hours of work per day.
  • Immediate start date preferred (ASAP).
