Description

  • Translate marketing, help, UI, regulated, and other assigned content using translation tools.
  • Perform copy-editing tasks for selected content types.
  • Use CAT, query-management, and UI-checking tools to support translation work.
  • Follow client translation processes, style guides, and content requirements.
  • Raise queries when clarification is needed during the translation process.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior team members and client reviewers to improve quality.
  • Track personal error trends and address identified improvement areas.
  • Participate in internal and client-led training, quality meetings, and error-arbitration processes.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and on-time delivery KPIs and team-manager goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with a virtual translation team.

Requirements

  • Native-level German fluency and written and spoken English fluency.
  • 2–4 years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing.
  • University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistic Studies, or equivalent experience.
  • Alternatively, a degree in another field plus 2 years of full-time translation experience, or 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
  • Understanding of localization processes.
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with CAT tools such as XTM and SDL Studio.
  • Experience with issue-tracking and query-management tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to quickly learn new localization tools and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, presentation, and virtual-team collaboration abilities.
