Description

  • Lead WelbeHealth’s employment legal strategy across a diverse workforce and multi-state operations.
  • Serve as lead legal advisor on employment litigation and pre-litigation matters from intake through resolution.
  • Manage third-party claims and disputes and oversee sensitive internal investigations involving employee complaints and regulatory exposure.
  • Provide legal advice on federal and state employment law and regulatory matters.
  • Develop and implement strategies and tools to minimize employment-related litigation risk.
  • Draft employment-related documents, including policies, separation agreements, and arbitration agreements.
  • Lead employment-law readiness for expansion into new states.
  • Support training initiatives on compliance, risk awareness, and preventative practices.
  • Work directly with outside counsel on matters requiring specialized legal consultation.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited institution.
  • Active state bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Law firm and in-house experience are strongly preferred.
  • Significant knowledge of relevant employment laws.
  • Proven ability to lead complex litigation and negotiations with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate legal issues and develop solutions.
  • Experience leading in a data-driven organization and using reports and data to prioritize work.
  • Willingness to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders across the organization.
