Description

  • Conduct engagement assessments to determine participants’ social, therapeutic, and recreational needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to help develop participant care plans.
  • Develop a comprehensive engagement program with individual activities, group activities, and outings.
  • Implement and supervise all engagement program activities while monitoring enjoyment, appropriateness, and safety.
  • Develop and post a monthly calendar of engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with the Center Director to support smooth day center operations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external organizations and community resources that can support the engagement program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Activity Professional Certification required, or an additional 3 years of relevant experience may be substituted.
  • 2 years of experience in a social recreational or educational program within the past 5 years.
  • At least 1 year of full-time experience in an activities program in a health care or mental health setting working with frail elderly individuals.
  • Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter.
  • CPR and First Aid certification upon hire is preferred.
  • Experience in a relevant field is used to determine actual compensation.
  • Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a vaccine declination form prior to employment.

  • Compensation range of $25.61 to $33.80 per hour.
