Description

  • Review content projects for technical correctness and industry accuracy.
  • Identify statements that need clarification or stronger explanation.
  • Recommend edits that improve factual accuracy, clarity, and educational value.
  • Translate complex commercial print concepts into business-focused language for B2B audiences.
  • Evaluate copy for authenticity and remove marketing jargon.
  • Provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to writers and editors.
  • Work with the content team to ensure deliverables meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate complex print-production concepts in an accessible way.

Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge of commercial printing technologies, including digital presses, offset, flexography, and wide-format printing.
  • Deep familiarity with the end-to-end print production workflow, including pre-press, submission, color management, printing, and post-press finishing.
  • Fluency in print industry terminology such as substrates, ink, DPI, CMYK+, throughput, and uptime.
  • Proven ability to translate technical features into business benefits for B2B audiences.
  • Strong ability to assess technical accuracy and replace marketing language with credible, authoritative language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of direct professional experience in commercial printing, graphic arts, or print marketing.
  • A portfolio demonstrating B2B technical writing, content strategy, or product marketing in printing or a related manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications, Print Media, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Idealliance G7® Expert or Professional Certification, EFI™ Fiery® Certified Professional, Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing, or other marketing/editing certifications preferred.
