Description

  • Own executive and senior leadership searches end-to-end, from market mapping through close, with a focus on quality, alignment, and long-term impact.
  • Develop and execute offer strategy and lead executive-level closing with discretion and strong negotiation skills.
  • Build and maintain “always-on” executive talent pipelines and proactively engage passive and moonshot leaders before roles open.
  • Craft tailored outreach and high-touch engagement strategies that resonate with senior executives and reflect Wealthsimple’s employer value proposition.
  • Partner directly with senior leaders to define role scopes, success profiles, and long-term talent strategy, and influence hiring decisions with data and judgment.
  • Provide market intelligence for each search, including competitor mapping, talent benchmarking, and insights to inform workforce planning.
  • Lead complex stakeholder alignment processes across ambiguous or evolving business needs.
  • Run polished candidate experiences for senior talent and represent Wealthsimple’s EVP and mission among executive communities.
  • Continuously evolve executive hiring processes, assessment methods, interview rigor, tools, and candidate experience; mentor recruiters and contribute to TA strategy improvements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with 5+ years focused on executive or senior leadership hiring (ideally in tech or executive search).
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, engaging, and closing passive, A‑level executive candidates.
  • Proven ability to conduct market benchmarking, build competitive talent landscapes, and advise stakeholders with data-informed insights.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills with credibility in senior-level conversations.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority, confidential searches simultaneously while maintaining discretion.
  • Experience mentoring recruiters and contributing to talent acquisition strategy and process improvements.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and making long-term hiring decisions.
  • Ability to build trust and operate in high-stakes rooms where talent density matters.
  • Genuine connection to Wealthsimple’s values and the ability to assess cultural alignment in senior candidates.

  • Base salary range for candidates located in Canada: CAD $116,000–$145,000 (exceptional candidates may be considered above range).
