Description

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance backend services and APIs, primarily in C++.
Build and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure that support critical event triage and analysis platforms.
Collaborate with front-end engineers, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to define APIs, data models, and system architecture.
Contribute to system design, architectural decisions, and backend development best practices.
Integrate backend systems with AI/ML platforms and infrastructure to enable intelligent product experiences.
Monitor, debug, and optimize backend system performance and reliability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development.
Proficiency in C++ and experience building production-grade services.
Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and best practices.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead technical discussions.
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred).
Experience with ML frameworks, libraries, and cloud-based platforms (preferred).
Experience with Java (preferred).
Experience with web front-end development, including TypeScript and Angular (preferred).
Experience leveraging AI-powered developer tools to improve software development velocity, or experience building/augmenting such tools (preferred).
Familiarity with Google's internal development tools and infrastructure (preferred).

Benefits

Base salary range of $204,000 to $259,000 USD.
Discretionary annual bonus program.
Equity incentive plan.
Generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
