Description

  • Build and maintain API integrations and backend services that move data from point A to point B.
  • Design robust data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and unifying data from diverse sources.
  • Develop the architecture, pipeline logic, and business logic needed to support data orchestration.
  • Handle API rate limiting, caching between pipeline steps, and message queue workflows.
  • Collaborate with the team and client in a self-organizing Scrum team within a scaled agile framework.
  • Work independently as a self-starter while contributing to team delivery and milestones.
  • Solve complex backend and data engineering problems in a fast-moving environment.
  • Support digital transformation and software solutions as part of Umpisa Inc.'s product and service initiatives.

Requirements

  • Good backend knowledge with Node.js and Express.
  • Experience working with APIs at scale.
  • Exposure to basic AWS services.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to move fast and reach milestones under uncertainty.
  • Willingness to work on difficult technical problems.
  • Comfort working as part of a self-organizing Scrum team in a scaled agile framework.
