Description

  • Own and deliver dimensional data for entities such as artists, participants, albums, and tracks to business users and internal products.
  • Build and manage data sets, pipelines, transformations, APIs, and front-end products that simplify data complexity for stakeholders.
  • Own features throughout the full development lifecycle, including design, creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Implement maintainable, high-quality, and reliable solutions that can scale as the business grows.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and engineering leaders in a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Support backend and data platform capabilities that power WMG’s technology initiatives and digital services.
  • Apply strong operational excellence practices, including testing, monitoring, paging, and incident management.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS or another large cloud computing environment.
  • Strong distributed systems skills, including performance, scalability, and measuring latency and throughput.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, backend services, databases, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with Python, Databricks, AWS, Postgres, TypeScript, React, and Snowflake is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • High sense of ownership and ability to deliver impact in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Drive to grow, learn, and master the craft of software development.

Benefits

  • Base salary of CAD $112,000 to $152,000 per year.
  • Eligible for a performance-based annual bonus.
  • Remote full-time role.
