Description

  • Define the long-term product vision and roadmap for foundational source-of-truth data systems.
  • Act as the bridge between engineering teams by defining data contracts and system integrations.
  • Serve as the primary author of technical PRDs for data-heavy initiatives.
  • Drive projects from data modeling through technical delivery.
  • Own data quality and audit readiness for royalty data and rights contracts.
  • Architect solutions that reduce risk of financial delays and protect artist livelihoods.
  • Identify and prioritize technical debt and foundational system improvements.
  • Communicate complex technical changes and architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Align teams on data principles and explain how infrastructure changes create future business value.
  • Partner closely with engineering leads to evolve core data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience.
  • Experience with digital media, data systems, or complex financial/rights systems is preferred.
  • Ability to discuss system architecture and data models with engineers.
  • Ability to discuss business constraints with executives and evaluate Value, Usability, Feasibility, and Business Viability risks.
  • Strong systems-thinking skills and ability to map complex dependencies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and senior non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to drive action, make prioritization decisions, and deliver value in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong opinions held weakly, with a collaborative and accountable leadership style.
  • Passion for music and motivation to support artists’ careers and royalties.

Benefits

  • Base salary of CAD $116,000 to $130,000 per year.
  • Eligible for a performance-based annual bonus.
  • Remote work location listed for Toronto, Ontario / Vancouver.
