Description

  • Design and implement features end-to-end with guidance from senior design engineers.
  • Build frontend experiences including layout, interaction, motion, and polish.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering and product to iterate quickly on ideas.
  • Use AI-powered development tools to ship features at a fast pace.
  • Translate rough ideas into interactive interfaces without waiting for detailed specs.
  • Communicate clearly and work with the team in a plain, direct style.
  • Contribute to product features that real users can point to and use.
  • Improve the feel of the interface, not just whether it functions correctly.

Requirements

  • Experience building and shipping something real, such as a side project, class project, personal site, small app, Discord bot, game, or Figma plugin.
  • Ability to explain what you built, why you built it that way, what broke, and how you solved it.
  • Working knowledge of modern frontend development, such as React, TypeScript, Next.js, or similar.
  • Comfort building real UI from scratch without needing to be an expert.
  • Strong product taste and an ability to judge what is and is not working in an interface.
  • Ability to turn a rough idea into something interactive with minimal direction.
  • Daily use of AI tools, with skill in prompting, iterating, and shipping with them.
  • Basic understanding of backend concepts such as APIs, data flow, and authentication.
  • Experience building something where motion or interaction felt genuinely good.
  • Preferred experience with Figma or similar design tools for prototyping.
  • Preferred interest in accessibility.
  • Preferred personal interest in fiction, worldbuilding, or making things for fun.
