Description

  • Engage with clients to understand fire, life safety, security, and integrated systems needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Promote and sell integrated systems for fire alarm, security, audiovisual, and data communications applications.
  • Collaborate with contractors to participate in bid processes and develop project proposals.
  • Prepare detailed sales proposals and presentations tailored to client requirements.
  • Develop budgets for integrated systems projects that balance cost, safety, and security requirements.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to support satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and competitive activity.
  • Lead contract negotiations and help secure favorable terms for clients and the company.
  • Monitor sales metrics, forecast future sales, and adjust strategies to meet or exceed goals.
  • Work with engineering, project management, customer service, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in contract sales of fire alarm, electronic security, or a related field, including prior management experience.
  • Demonstrated sales experience with strong prospecting skills, successful sales history, and contract negotiation experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire protection systems, especially fire detection and alarm systems, security, surveillance, and access systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable state, local, and BOCA codes, Fire Marshals, NFPA 72, ADA, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction in the work geography.
  • Strong record-keeping skills for completing sales and estimating documentation.
  • Ability to monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass various background checks.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for company vehicle use.
  • NICET Level 1 certification preferred.
