Description

  • Partner with program managers, planners, control account managers, and supply chain, quality, and operations teams to align production schedules with supply and demand requirements.
  • Develop production schedules using lead time analysis and program IMS requirements.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor production schedule execution from engineering drawing release through purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier tracking.
  • Create and use tools to monitor ongoing production plan activity and enable active management of work in progress.
  • Identify supply and demand risks and critical shortages early and escalate them proactively for action.
  • Conduct status meetings with internal and external customers.
  • Develop processes for monitoring and reporting production capacity, purchasing activity, and critical shortages.
  • Support performance metrics such as on-time purchase requisition issuance and on-time delivery to contract/manufacturing.
  • Manage order demand within Costpoint or a similar MRP system and ensure adherence to internal supply chain and operations processes.
  • Participate in customer meetings, peer reviews, and problem-solving meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in supply chain management.
  • 20+ years of experience in production control, material planning, and/or production scheduling.
  • 5+ years of experience managing DoD propulsion-related programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in production control and material planning for prototyping, design, and development programs.
  • Experience managing Department of Defense programs for the U.S. Government.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as MRP, Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar tools.
  • Direct experience managing large subcontracts.
  • Experience briefing program teams, executive leadership, and customers on production status, risks, and forecasts.
  • Ability to multitask in a highly collaborative environment and solve complex MRP, BOM, material planning, purchase requisition, purchase order, and ECO issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level, requiring U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience with AS9100 and DCMA standards (preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in Master Production Scheduling (preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean and six sigma principles (preferred).
  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency programs and MAP/PMAP requirements (preferred).
  • Experience using Integrated Program Management Tools (preferred).
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (preferred).
