Description

  • Write production-quality Go code to build internal tooling, workflows, and automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment management, and service health.
  • Own provisioning, maintenance, and improvement of cloud-native infrastructure using established infrastructure-as-code patterns.
  • Serve as a technical resource for large-scale Kubernetes clusters by troubleshooting networking and performance issues and implementing software-level fixes.
  • Implement automated security policies and best practices in clusters using tools such as Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper.
  • Build and optimize GitHub Actions workflows and ArgoCD pipelines to support safe, GitOps-based deployments.
  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to help support production reliability.
  • Adopt and share AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery and team workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on cloud-native architecture, developer tooling, and platform engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Go, preferred, or Python, with the ability to build production-grade tools, APIs, and custom Kubernetes controllers.
  • Practical experience managing and troubleshooting production EKS or GKE clusters, including networking, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Hands-on experience with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows and custom actions.
  • Experience using Helm for packaging and Kyverno or OPA for policy enforcement.
  • Strong practical experience with Terraform, including custom modules, state management, and maintainable IaC structure.
  • Interest in Kubernetes-native management approaches such as Crossplane.
  • Experience using observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
  • A FinOps mindset with attention to right-sizing resources and controlling cloud spend.
  • Ability to solve complex problems in distributed systems and troubleshoot root causes.
  • Approximately one week of 24/7 on-call coverage per month is expected, shared across the team.
