Description

  • Manage assigned project managers and support the development of the Project Management function.
  • Oversee project initiation and launch processes, including team formation, resource planning, and PM setup.
  • Lead, guide, and monitor project managers while facilitating regular team meetings.
  • Assess resource needs and create short- and long-term allocation plans based on stakeholder and team input.
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve processes, policies, and standards for project execution and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Perform project management duties for assigned projects, ensuring scope, deadlines, goals, and budget are met.
  • Review resource needs regularly to ensure timely delivery of planned outcomes and milestones.
  • Mentor and coach project managers to support their professional growth.
  • Act as resource manager for the Project Management team and support decisions related to PM function development.
  • Develop and maintain PM KPIs aligned with project goals and company strategy.
  • Identify project resource needs and create succession plans for key roles and resources.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify PM-related risks, create mitigation plans, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Build and maintain effective communication channels to keep leadership informed with accurate updates.
  • Participate in hiring decisions within department budget and business needs.
  • Conduct 1:1s, goal setting, development planning, and performance reviews in line with HR policies.
  • Handle employee complaints, workplace issues, and resource allocation conflicts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience managing teams of project managers.
  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
  • Experience with project management systems and software.
  • Proven ability to build strong team collaboration and motivate employees in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to lead by example and encourage team members to find solutions independently.
  • Successful experience in team management, goal setting, performance management, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions, set priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in periods of change and the ability to work effectively with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Strong results orientation and the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they affect budget or timelines.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Understanding of the company’s strategic direction and project interdependencies.
