Description

  • Develop detailed baseline schedules in Primavera P6 for lump-sum commercial electrical projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and estimators to define scope sequencing, durations, and resource loading.
  • Integrate electrical scope into general contractor master schedules and align schedules with overall project milestones.
  • Update schedules, track progress, and perform variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify critical path activities, float erosion, and potential delays.
  • Develop recovery plans and mitigation strategies when schedule risks arise.
  • Support monthly schedule reporting, including narratives and executive summaries.
  • Participate in preconstruction and coordination meetings and other project planning meetings.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor schedules to ensure alignment with electrical scope.
  • Support claims preparation and delay analysis when needed, and help standardize scheduling practices across projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably in electrical or MEP trades.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing and trade coordination.
  • Experience working with general contractors on lump-sum projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both field teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Background in electrical construction, with field or project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in multi-project scheduling environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with resource loading, cost-loaded schedules, and delay analysis techniques such as TIA or forensic scheduling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
