Description

  • Architect and maintain analytics-ready datasets, LookML explores, and dashboards.
  • Trace data lineage and debug dbt models to ensure reliable analytics outputs.
  • Make modeling decisions on grain, incremental strategies, and data contracts to stabilize raw data sources.
  • Partner with Member Engagement teams to translate strategic questions into rigorous analyses.
  • Collaborate with the core data engineering team to shape and optimize foundational data models.
  • Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear, actionable answers for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Evaluate data limitations, challenge assumptions, and communicate insights with appropriate caveats.
  • Independently deliver end-to-end analytics projects without hand-offs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree at a minimum.
  • 5-7 years of senior-level experience spanning analytics engineering and data analysis.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency.
  • Production-level dbt experience, including configuring metric and semantic layers.
  • Experience navigating, testing, and contributing to codebases that use dbt macros, exposures, and lineage.
  • Experience with version control and CI workflows in modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Fluency in LookML, including authoring and refactoring models and building intuitive explores for self-service.
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience managing stakeholders directly.
  • Preferred: Experience driving initiatives in digital health or healthtech.
  • Preferred: Understanding of claims, clinical, and patient engagement data ecosystems, with strict adherence to HIPAA and PHI data governance.
  • Preferred: Experience launching data-driven experiments, building patient cohort analyses, and measuring outcomes to prove program efficacy.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S., and international work is prohibited.
  • Employees must reside in or be able to work from a state where Vida is registered.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 per year.
  • Remote work arrangement.
