Description

  • Provide high-level financial management and strategic planning services to client businesses.
  • Analyze client financial statements, assess risk, and develop insights to support decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to promote sustainable growth.
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions, including due diligence.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to prepare compliant financial statements and reports.
  • Implement financial systems and processes to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Lead onsite discovery assessment meetings and client engagements.
  • Manage multiple fractional CFO engagements independently across different clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years in the CFO seat for small-to-medium-sized businesses in the construction industry.
  • Several years of experience in the construction space are required.
  • Proven experience as a CFO, financial consultant, or similar role with success in financial strategy.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; ability to quickly adapt to new cloud-based tools.
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 days per client engagement for onsite assessments.
  • Proactive, consultative leadership style with the ability to lead meetings and execute deliverables.
