Description

  • Define the product vision and long-term strategic direction in alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Develop business cases and clearly communicate the customer and business value of product initiatives.
  • Lead strategic planning by identifying investment areas and securing internal approvals.
  • Own the product P&L and use financial insights to guide roadmap prioritization.
  • Translate product strategy into actionable release plans and maintain internal and executive-facing roadmaps.
  • Gather and synthesize input from customers, internal stakeholders, market research, and industry insights.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet market needs.
  • Define pricing strategies, product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market launch plans.
  • Prioritize backlog features by balancing user value, effort, time to market, and competitive differentiation.
  • Track and evaluate sales, renewals, win/loss data, feature adoption, usability, and user satisfaction.
  • Run trials, pilots, and MVPs to validate assumptions before broader launches.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, deliver demos, and promote the product through training and sales enablement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or certifications such as Pragmatic Marketing or CSPO are a plus.
  • 7+ years of product management experience within a software organization.
  • Experience with pricing strategies, business cases, and P&Ls.
  • Experience developing and executing modernization strategies, including transitioning legacy solutions to cloud-based architectures.
  • Experience establishing value propositions, product messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and AI-centric development with Claude Code.
  • Highly effective cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence up, down, and across the organization.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Aha! Product Management software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and mobile apps is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies to enhance product capabilities or operational efficiency is preferred.
  • Experience with public safety professional standards, wellness, or Case Management Systems (CMS) is preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability security clearance.
