Description

  • Lead product strategy, planning, and execution for the Veracross Business Suite in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap and requirements through market research and customer discovery.
  • Collaborate with UX, engineering, and business teams to deliver intuitive, compliant, and scalable finance features.
  • Analyse stakeholder feedback, usage data, and business metrics to inform product decisions.
  • Ensure product compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, GST, BAS reporting, ATO requirements, and related regulations.
  • Optimize the user experience for school business offices managing day-to-day finance operations.
  • Track KPIs, report on product performance, and adjust strategy based on measurable impact.
  • Support customer success, go-to-market, and support teams with training, enablement, and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial workflows, integrations, and automation.
  • Help deliver financial solutions that improve cash flow, visibility, reporting, and audit readiness for schools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA or CA qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • 7+ years of product management or equivalent experience managing financial, accounting, or ERP products.
  • Hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, or financial reporting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the SaaS product development lifecycle.
  • Experience with ERP or financial systems such as Xero, MYOB, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Blackbaud, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and tax/regulatory requirements including GST and BAS.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset focused on measurable product outcomes.
  • Passion for improving the education experience for schools and families.
  • Preferred experience working in a K–12 school business office or with independent schools in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Preferred familiarity with student billing, family engagement, or financial aid platforms.
  • Background in fintech, payment processing, or compliance is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of multi-currency accounting and cross-border transactions is a bonus.
  • Experience with machine learning and automation in finance or accounting workflows is a bonus.
