Description

  • Own data sourcing, storage, access, querying, infrastructure, tooling, and dashboards end to end.
  • Consolidate financial, product, and growth data into a shared data lake with specialized views.
  • Build systems for tracking product experiments and monitoring tests without spreadsheets.
  • Proactively identify and answer strategic business and product questions using appropriate statistical methods.
  • Assess and improve the data warehouse and analytics stack through data models, reporting pipelines, dashboards, and self-service tools.
  • Partner with engineering, product, finance, marketing, and leadership to define metrics, instrument products, and guide decisions.
  • Protect user privacy by minimizing unnecessary data collection and developing non-invasive analytical methods.
  • Develop robust metrics that distinguish meaningful trends from noise in a rapidly changing product.
  • Communicate analytical findings, limitations, uncertainty, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and executives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of demonstrated data science, analytics, or related experience.
  • Product-minded approach focused on improving decisions rather than producing dashboards.
  • Experience working with messy, incomplete, or deliberately constrained data using methods such as quasi-experiments, proxy metrics, or qualitative triangulation.
  • Fluency in SQL and ability to write production-quality code.
  • Experience building data pipelines, data models, analytical tooling, and data warehouse infrastructure.
  • Experience with modern analytics stacks, PostHog, and Postgres.
  • Familiarity with Rust, TypeScript, Go, or Python; experience with multiple languages is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly about uncertainty and present recommendations to executives without jargon.
  • Commitment to privacy-conscious data practices and ethical data collection.
  • Ability to move quickly, iterate in production, and use AI agents or LLMs to accelerate analytical work.
