Description

  • Own user journeys, flows, and interaction design for the Seven Bridges Platform.
  • Partner with product managers to define problems, outcomes, and scope, then translate them into working experiences.
  • Build and maintain a design system, including design tokens, a component library, and shared visual standards.
  • Keep rapid prototyping fast and safe by reviewing prototype quality and turning validated concepts into production-ready designs.
  • Manage and develop the product designer on the clinical side, and hire as the team grows.
  • Design AI-powered product experiences, including assistant and copilot workflows and trustworthy AI outputs.
  • Work closely with front-end engineers so the design system is implemented in code.
  • Use product analytics to identify user friction and prioritize experience improvements.
  • Bring design judgment into leadership and strategy conversations.
  • Establish the foundations and processes for a growing design function.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with senior ownership of user journeys on complex, data-heavy, or scientific software.
  • Experience building or leading at least one design system adopted by engineering.
  • Formal people management experience, including developing designers and giving feedback.
  • Experience working in fast, ambiguous environments.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools for design, prototyping, and design-to-code workflows, including Claude.
  • Experience designing AI-powered product experiences, or a strong point of view on trust, transparency, and human oversight in AI interfaces.
  • Expert-level Figma skills, including variables and design-to-code workflows such as Code Connect.
  • Ability to collaborate credibly with front-end engineers on components and technical constraints.
  • Comfort operating as the most senior design voice across executives, engineers, and scientists.
  • Nice to have: experience with genomics, multi-omics, imaging, clinical or other life sciences data products, regulated domains, multi-environment or multi-installation products, Storybook, or establishing design practice in an engineering-led organization.
