Description

  • Configure customer accounts and customize backup policies and storage.
  • Facilitate onboarding by orienting stakeholders, walking through admin portals, and introducing support channels.
  • Identify migration opportunities by analyzing customer usage and environments.
  • Conduct success planning and strategy sessions to align business outcomes with product adoption.
  • Perform assessments, build protection plans, and recommend software products and architectures across the Veeam Data Platform.
  • Run recovery simulations and apply the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to track resilience posture.
  • Deliver quarterly resilience reports and communicate measurable customer value.
  • Monitor customer signals to detect churn risk early and define mitigation plans.
  • Partner on renewal strategy and support upsell, expansion, and retention opportunities.
  • Engage CISO and CIO stakeholders with clear risk, status, and opportunity updates, and support executive and roadmap discussions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery, such as Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, or Technical Account Manager.
  • This is a mid-level role.
  • Hands-on expertise across operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and DR&R best practices.
  • Strong experience designing and executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations.
  • VMCE certification required, though it may be completed post-hire within an agreed timeframe.
  • Preferred industry certifications include AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) and Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and measurable value.
  • Executive stakeholder engagement experience with CISO/CIO audiences.
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Veeam platform capabilities is a plus.
