Description

  • Provide technical, architectural, and analytical input on data storage technologies, APIs, security, release processes, and product insights.
  • Work with Product Managers and R&D engineers to validate design decisions and analyze product behavior.
  • Define requirements and help shape storage feature scope, architecture options, integrations, and technology choices.
  • Analyze and support retention and lifecycle management approaches for storage capabilities.
  • Review encryption and key management for data at rest and in transit, identifying risks and gaps.
  • Support analysis of malware and ransomware detection techniques relevant to storage and data protection.
  • Drive analysis for backup target–near features from investigation through delivery review.
  • Analyze and help maintain REST APIs, including entity design, authentication patterns, versioning, usability, consistency, and documentation.
  • Support on-prem release activities with analysis and documentation to keep teams aligned.
  • Use dashboards, KPIs, and trend analysis to turn metrics into insights for prioritization and technical decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in technical analysis or product analysis roles in software, storage, platform, or adjacent areas.
  • Strong knowledge of storage, encryption, and retention/lifecycle management in enterprise or SaaS environments.
  • Hands-on understanding of modern storage architectures, including object storage, block storage, deduplication systems, and table formats such as Apache Iceberg.
  • Understanding of metadata concepts related to modern storage architectures.
  • Strong grasp of REST API design, including structure, authentication, and versioning.
  • Ability to assess API usability and consistency.
  • Understanding of ransomware and malware detection approaches as they apply to storage and backup solutions.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured reasoning, with accountability for recommendations and outputs.
  • Ability to build and use virtualization labs, such as VMware, to investigate system behavior independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Preferred familiarity with SaaS release processes and how they differ from on-prem enterprise releases.
  • Preferred familiarity with Veeam products or related backup and recovery components.
