Description

  • Design, build, and operate Veeam’s AI-ready data governance and trust operating process.
  • Develop automated data discovery, lineage, ownership, certification, and governance workflows.
  • Implement continuous AI-driven data trust scoring, risk detection, executive reporting, and remediation processes.
  • Lead integration of Databricks Unity Catalog and platforms such as Atlan, including metadata, lineage, tagging, access, and ownership management.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain AI agents and automated pipelines within defined security and operational guardrails.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Data Engineering to deliver scalable governance solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging agentic AI tools and automation patterns for business impact and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from technical design through implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Mentor colleagues and data stewards on automation patterns, governance practices, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Monitor governance effectiveness, automation performance, adoption, and operational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, a quantitative or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in data governance, data engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience deploying production AI agents, automated pipelines, or scripted workflows for governance activities.
  • Advanced experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and business-facing catalog platforms such as Atlan.
  • Knowledge of AI asset governance, model registration, MCP service governance, agent access controls, and secure AI deployment; Unity AI Gateway experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with AI development and automation tools such as Claude or Claude Code.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks covering ownership, quality, trust measurement, certification, access, and remediation.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business and technical challenges into scalable, production-ready solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Experience mentoring colleagues, leading change from manual to automated governance, or establishing technical best practices.
  • Experience with v-Power or comparable CRM extension platforms, Microsoft Purview, SOC 2 Type II, data mesh, MDM, DAMA-DMBOK, or entity resolution is advantageous.
  • Experience in rapidly growing, private equity-backed, or pre-IPO technology organizations is preferred.
  • Position requires permanent location in Costa Rica and applications must be submitted in English.
