Description

  • Personally execute end-to-end payroll processing, with primary focus on Canada and US payroll.
  • Process payroll cycles across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage payroll inputs, calculations, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Support global year-end payroll activities, tax filings, and reporting.
  • Administer North American and international benefits programs across health, dental, disability, life, retirement, wellness, and leave offerings.
  • Process benefits enrollments, life events, terminations, and updates globally.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data across payroll, HRIS, and vendor systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, state, and international payroll and benefits regulations.
  • Act as an escalation point for payroll and benefits inquiries and provide employee support.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, external vendors, and global brokers on payroll and benefits operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a Payroll Lead or Manager role.
  • Hands-on experience processing Canada and US payroll, not just overseeing it.
  • Proven experience actively running payroll cycles as a payroll practitioner.
  • Experience with global payroll across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC is preferred.
  • Experience administering North American and international benefits.
  • Strong numeracy skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Ability to manage multiple time zones, deadlines, and complex data.
  • Experience with payroll or HRIS systems such as UKG, Workday, CloudPay, or ADP.
  • Degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Payroll certification required, such as PCP, CPM, CPP, or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
