Description

  • Develop and implement collection systems that keep high-value data flowing under sophisticated automated detection regimes.
  • Strengthen the core data collection engines and improve resilience in adversarial environments.
  • Expand how collected data is exposed through interfaces for agents and other engineering teams.
  • Design statistically disciplined, cross-layer systems that remain reliable without sacrificing scale, stability, or operational integrity.
  • Ensure tools and collected data are usable by agents through tool-call readiness, retrieval patterns, schemas, metadata, and evaluation loops.
  • Identify gaps where relevant data is not reaching agent tool calls and coordinate fixes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and mission teams to translate real-world data needs into durable technical systems.
  • Monitor system behavior, instrumentation, and observability to maintain reliability and performance.
  • Help shape the end-to-end evolution of the collection stack, from low-level techniques to higher-level interfaces.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with browser automation, anti-bot defenses, fingerprinting, and signature mitigation.
  • Experience with distributed scraping architectures and infrastructure for sensitive or misattributed environments.
  • Strong backend engineering experience and understanding of distributed systems.
  • Preferred experience with TypeScript and Python.
  • Understanding of anti-abuse, bot detection, fraud, or traffic integrity systems operating at scale.
  • Data-driven approach with strong instrumentation and monitoring instincts.
  • Ability to reason about how protocol, timing, and runtime deviations affect anomaly scores.
  • Ability to communicate crisply in writing and align stakeholders with concise one-pagers.
  • Comfort making hard prioritization calls with incomplete information.
  • Experience with web scraping, browser automation, and similar technologies.
  • Experience with national security problems, workflows, or data platform/product work.
  • Familiarity with agentic systems and what makes data tool-call ready.
  • Full-stack capability, including occasional front-end work with React.
  • Grit and creativity to work through roadblocks and try different approaches until one works.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is a plus, but not required.
