Description

  • Own build and deployment automation for Vannevar Labs.
  • Develop, maintain, and support overall platform health, scaling, and planning.
  • Build self-service tools and automate workflows to improve data engineering efficiency.
  • Create logging and monitoring tools to visualize platform health and improve SRE practices.
  • Implement a secure, robust, high-availability DevOps pipeline.
  • Work with the team to build out a multi-account AWS environment.
  • Automate build and deployment processes.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs clearly with teammates while working across commercial and high-side environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or software engineering.
  • Experience creating CI/CD processes and automation.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS cloud technology.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as PLG stack, Datadog, or similar enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Pulumi.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience working in an agile scrum environment and independently.
  • Ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to U.S.-only and export-controlled data systems.
  • Preferred: experience working in AWS GovCloud.
  • Preferred: experience with data processing for the Department of Defense and/or the IC.
  • Preferred: experience building CI/CD systems in GitHub Actions.
  • Preferred: passion for DevSecOps.
  • Preferred: experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
  • Preferred: experience hardening and delivering software applications.
  • Preferred: experience with modern web services architectures.
  • Preferred: experience with relational database systems, including SQL and relational design.
  • Preferred: knowledge of advanced networking concepts such as overlays, VPNs, and zero trust networks.
  • Preferred: strong collaboration and negotiation skills for multi-functional projects with internal partner engineering teams.
