Description

  • Architect, implement, and maintain MongoDB Atlas and non-Atlas environments with high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Design and enforce backup, restore, multi-region failover, and other disaster recovery strategies.
  • Optimize database performance and query execution to support application development teams across the SDLC.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions for database provisioning and automation using Terraform and GitOps.
  • Implement and refine monitoring and observability using Dynatrace, CloudWatch, and MongoDB native telemetry.
  • Manage access control, auditing, and encryption to meet enterprise security and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with application, DevOps, and platform teams to improve reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Lead incident response for database-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Mentor technical teams and contribute to documentation, standards, and design reviews.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a MongoDB DBA, including 4+ years administering MongoDB Atlas.
  • Strong experience with the AWS ecosystem, including EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, VPC, and Lambda.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, GitOps, CI/CD automation, and containerized workloads such as EKS/Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, or equivalent observability platforms.
  • Strong Linux administration expertise and scripting skills in Python and Bash.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and incident response.
  • Travel requirement of less than 10%.
  • Experience with Kafka, CDC, and enterprise data integration platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices and infrastructure observability at enterprise scale is preferred.
