Description

  • Lead the electrical design and architecture of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Develop AC and DC power distribution systems for modular energy platforms.
  • Create single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and cable schedules.
  • Integrate battery systems, battery management systems, PCS inverters, transformers, switchgear, and monitoring infrastructure.
  • Define grounding strategies, protection schemes, and isolation methods for high-power electrical systems.
  • Develop monitoring, alarm, and shutdown logic to support safe and reliable battery operation.
  • Coordinate electrical design with mechanical layouts and enclosure constraints.
  • Support commissioning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and troubleshooting of energy storage systems.
  • Produce production-ready electrical documentation for manufacturing and system integration.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and integration teams to deliver complete systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience designing industrial electrical systems or power infrastructure.
  • Experience with power distribution systems, protection systems, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience integrating equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, or energy storage systems.
  • Strong experience developing technical documentation for engineering and manufacturing.
  • Experience working with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or microgrid power systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with UL 9540, UL 1741, or similar energy storage safety standards preferred.
  • Experience integrating SCADA, EMS, or energy monitoring systems preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting renewable energy, data center power infrastructure, or large industrial power systems preferred.
  • Previous experience working with U.S.-based engineering teams is valued.
  • Fluent English communication skills, spoken and written.
  • Ability to present a portfolio of relevant engineering projects, ideally including energy infrastructure or power systems.
