Description

  • Conduct environmental characterization of inertial sensors, including accelerometers and gyroscopes, to verify performance and flight-worthiness requirements.
  • Analyze test data and document results.
  • Develop sensor calibration processes.
  • Ensure timely production and delivery of sensor hardware for vehicle integration.
  • Conduct component qualification testing.
  • Identify and implement hardware and software upgrades to improve sensor systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or Physics, with 5+ years of professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working on inertial sensors.
  • Software development experience in Python and C/C++.
  • Knowledge of sensing technologies and experience testing, calibrating, and qualifying inertial navigation sensors.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing methods such as thermal, vibration, and shock.
  • Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or Physics (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience working on inertial sensors (preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of navigation-grade inertial sensors, including gyroscopes and accelerometers, from design through test (preferred).
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills (preferred).
  • Proven track record of product ownership and teamwork in fast-paced environments (preferred).
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.
