Description

  • Architect and build software solutions (workflows, services, and internal tools) that accelerate and automate security work.
  • Own security initiatives end-to-end, including design, implementation, post-launch validation, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
  • Perform security reviews (design reviews, threat modeling, architecture assessments) and drive actionable remediation and risk-reduction outcomes.
  • Identify, investigate, and remediate complex security issues across one or more domains and translate findings into durable architectural improvements.
  • Serve as a senior technical authority during high-severity incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes.
  • Mentor engineers and elevate security maturity by influencing leadership with clear risk metrics and fostering a security-enabled culture.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and assess business plans and applications to proactively build solutions that reduce organizational risk.
  • Continuously improve systems by incorporating real-world signals such as false positives, operational feedback, and evolving threats.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of owning security initiatives end-to-end, including post-launch validation, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
  • Experience performing security reviews (design reviews, threat modeling, architecture assessments) and driving actionable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, and remediate complex security issues across one or more domains.
  • Experience developing code and building services to address security needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., code generation, analysis, investigation) while maintaining security and quality standards.
  • Experience assessing security risks in AI/ML systems (e.g., prompt injection, model misuse, data poisoning, model access control) (preferred).
  • Experience working with diverse data domains (analytics, reporting, business operations, people data) (preferred).
  • Experience building applications hosted in Kubernetes and familiarity with security orchestration tools for automating cross-team processes (preferred).
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to operationalize security controls in regulated environments (preferred).
  • Role is available Remote or in San Mateo, Columbus, or Austin; team operates on East/West Coast time zones and requires periodic in-person on-site collaboration (typically once or twice per quarter for 2–4 days).

  • Anticipated U.S. base salary range: $164,800–$228,400 (actual pay varies by location and experience), plus target bonuses and equity grants.
