Description

  • Install and service access control and IP camera systems according to engineered drawings.
  • Program, terminate, and commission a wide range of access control products and platforms.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting job productivity and system performance.
  • Perform maintenance on electronic devices, power supplies, and network components.
  • Complete all required job tickets and related paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communicate project status and activity updates to the Project Manager or Field Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times.
  • Assist Level I technicians when needed.
  • Maintain the condition and cleanliness of the company vehicle and a safe driving record.
  • Attend required product training and safety training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of field installation experience in a security environment.
  • Mastery of install and service technician responsibilities.
  • Certifications in Lenel and/or Software House access control systems.
  • American Dynamics, Genetec, and Exacq certifications preferred.
  • Experience installing door hardware such as strikes and magnetic locks.
  • Experience in audio visual technology.
  • Experience troubleshooting network switches.
  • Ability to read, understand, and mark up engineered drawings after installation.
  • Proficiency with a computer, including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and learn quickly.
