Description

  • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to influence the product roadmap.
  • Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions for Unity AI and backend platforms.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions for AI products and Unity Editor workflows.
  • Improve backend reliability, performance, observability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Investigate issues such as performance regressions and network latency using monitoring and observability tools.
  • Run technical spikes to address infrastructure needs on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Build and mature release processes from development to production.
  • Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code and Helm deployments.
  • Define best practices for Terraform Cloud, Helm, and Kubernetes.
  • Drive standards for infrastructure, deployments, and disaster recovery across teams.

Requirements

  • Experience building and shipping complex, user-facing software products at scale.
  • Experience delivering and supporting cloud backend services using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines such as Argo or GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proven observability experience, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and debugging tools such as Grafana.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery best practices and network security.
  • Ability to translate business and user needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to align stakeholders across disciplines and organizations.
  • Exposure to ML infrastructure or LLM inference deployment is preferred.
  • Backend service development experience, including API design, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with networking, caching, real-time data pipelines, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL is preferred.
  • Familiarity with languages such as C#/.NET, Python, or Go is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Unity or similar 3D engines is preferred.
  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
  • English proficiency sufficient for professional verbal and written communication with global colleagues and partners.
