Description

  • Maintain Kubernetes infrastructure and manifests for a high-load, real-time product.
  • Tune Karpenter for efficient node autoscaling.
  • Build and maintain alerting pipelines to send critical infrastructure issues to Slack.
  • Design Grafana dashboards for infrastructure health and product metrics.
  • Set up Firebase alerts for Cloud Functions.
  • Roll out Artifactory (e.g. JFrog) and enable automated testing in CI.
  • Own infrastructure cost control and optimization.
  • Integrate GitLab, Slack, and approvals, and maintain a self-hosted Sentry for issue visibility.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on product architecture and infrastructure needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments.
  • Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, ECR, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, and Route53.
  • Experience supporting a self-hosted Kafka cluster and building custom monitoring metrics.
  • Strong Terraform configuration skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Flux, Kustomize, and Helm.
  • Experience with GitLab pipelines.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Practical AI knowledge and active daily use of AI tools such as Claude.
  • Experience with Node.js (plus).
  • Well-organized, result-oriented, proactive, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment (plus).
