Description

  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, contractors, end users, and plant personnel across the assigned territory.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities and long-term partnerships within the municipal water and wastewater market.
  • Provide product recommendations, technical support, and follow-up to help ensure successful project execution.
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, and promotional events.
  • Attend product training sessions and participate in industry associations, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Travel to manufacturers and represented company locations for training and professional development as needed.
  • Use consultative selling, troubleshooting, and problem-solving to support direct sales and plant-level activities.
  • Manage territory activity, customer communication, and multiple priorities independently.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Proven success in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Experience with consultative selling, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and territory management skills.
  • Comfort with in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects, priorities, and customer accounts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/customer relationship management software preferred.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned Upstate New York territory.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $100,000 to $110,000.
  • Uncapped commission structure.
  • Remote work arrangement.
