Description

  • Own Service Configuration Management and the CMDB.
  • Define, execute, monitor, and continuously improve the Service Configuration Management practice.
  • Establish, track, and report on Service Configuration Management and CMDB KPIs.
  • Ensure the CMDB contains accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Maintain service trees and keep them current.
  • Ensure Service Configuration Management processes and the CMDB are accurately reflected in the ITSM solution.
  • Prepare and maintain policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) supporting the practice.
  • Contribute to the implementation and improvement of other ITIL practices.
  • Maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of IT experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant project experience.
  • Strong practical knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM), particularly Service Configuration Management.
  • Proven experience defining, implementing, documenting, and improving Service Configuration Management practices.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, managing, and governing a CMDB, including CI lifecycle management.
  • Proven ownership of CMDB data quality, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience integrating CMDB with Change Enablement and other ITSM processes.
  • Practical knowledge of data source management, automated discovery, and CMDB integrations.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and mapping services, service trees, and dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of IT service lifecycle management, complex information systems, and interoperability.
  • Proven experience with CMDB reporting, auditing, and ServiceNow Configuration Management/CMDB.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong reporting and organizational abilities.
