Description

  • Manage, implement, and support Azure cloud infrastructure components (networking, storage, compute, functions, backup, firewall).
  • Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and configuration management (Terraform for provisioning; Ansible for configuration).
  • Automate routine operational tasks and toolchains using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and Azure CLI to improve efficiency.
  • Build, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and enterprise deployments using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
  • Establish and drive engineering and operational best practices to continuously enhance cross-team operational efficiency.
  • Perform configuration-level Linux administration (RHEL) to support infrastructure and deployments.
  • Implement and maintain security measures for Azure-based applications and infrastructure, including threat protection and vulnerability identification/remediation.
  • Stay current on industry trends and automation tooling to recommend and implement process and tooling improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of specialized experience in a DevOps/automation engineering role with full automation using Ansible.
  • Minimum 2 years of Azure infrastructure automation experience using Terraform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in an automation-engineering role (advanced degree preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Networking, Storage, Firewall, Compute, Functions, Backup, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience provisioning infrastructure with Terraform and managing configuration with Ansible.
  • Experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines and enterprise deployments with GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Strong familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitLab) and configuration-level Linux sysadmin skills on RHEL.
  • Ability to implement security controls and improve the security posture of Azure infrastructure, including threat protection and vulnerability remediation.
  • Preferred: working-level experience with Azure/Azure GOV Cloud, large-scale cloud architecture and integration with a focus on automation, networking, and NextGen Firewall.
  • Preferred: experience with Python, proficiency in multi-cloud environments (especially AWS), and a master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
