Description

  • Build and maintain scalable machine learning solutions in production.
  • Train and validate deep learning and statistical models based on use case, complexity, performance, and robustness.
  • Partner with product managers, tech leads, and stakeholders to analyze business problems, clarify requirements, and define system scope.
  • Work with data platform teams to build robust batch and real-time data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to build tools that improve productivity and support shipping and maintaining ML models.
  • Drive engineering standards through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Uphold best practices around code reviews, automated testing, and monitoring.
  • Develop a deep understanding of applications and the rationale behind models and systems.
  • Own end-to-end execution of large-scale ML solutions.
  • Help execute the roadmap for Twilio’s AI/ML products and services.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of applied machine learning experience with proficiency in Python.
  • Strong foundation in machine learning fundamentals and modern deep learning building blocks.
  • Proven experience building, shipping, and maintaining machine learning models in production in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience designing and architecting large-scale experiments and analysis to inform product roadmap.
  • Understanding of frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
  • Familiarity with MLOps concepts such as testing, retraining, and monitoring models in production.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and operate effectively in new application or business domains.
  • Experience with modern data storage, messaging, and processing tools such as Kafka, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Presto, and DynamoDB.
  • Experience working in an agile team environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience working on AWS.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (preferred).
  • Remote role based in India.
  • Occasional travel may be required for project or team in-person meetings.
