Description

  • Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities such as opportunity qualification, demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
  • Lead the technical and product sale by recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on how to use Twilio’s APIs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by uncovering customer technical pain points through discovery and translating them into innovative solutions.
  • Build and deliver interactive product demonstrations that showcase Twilio Communications products to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Present technical architectures and help customers understand how Twilio solutions fit their business challenges.
  • Work independently on low- to mid-complexity opportunities and participate across the full deal cycle.
  • Identify and solve problems for customers and internal teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead small to medium technical projects with limited oversight.
  • Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community by sharing knowledge and creating reusable demo materials and presentations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex technical products, or 6+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to gain audience confidence.
  • Strong storytelling ability to explain complex topics to multiple audience levels.
  • Ability to understand a customer’s communications needs and guide them to a technical solution.
  • Previous software development experience or working knowledge in relevant technical areas.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, and cloud application architecture.
  • Previous experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security is a plus.
  • Experience with sales methodologies.
  • Remote role; not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, or WA.
  • Approximately 10% travel required.
