Description

  • Inspire and equip developers to build with Twilio products and improve the developer experience.
  • Serve as an active, authentic leader in the developer community online and offline.
  • Own the Developer Evangelism strategy for the Americas region.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, and other teams to align regional programs and engagement objectives.
  • Lead the regional team of Developer Evangelists across North and Latin America.
  • Define success metrics and expand Evangelism projects, programs, and collaboration initiatives using a data-driven approach.
  • Communicate project plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders across the region and company.
  • Develop and mentor regional Evangelists and support their career growth.
  • Contribute to the Developer Network strategy as part of the extended leadership team.
  • Represent the regional team and build partnerships across Developer Relations and the broader company.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Community, or related areas.
  • 3-5 years of team leadership or people management experience.
  • Experience leading initiatives within Developer Relations, Community, or Developer Marketing.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across a department and the broader company at scale.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding individual contributors.
  • Strong commitment to serving developer communities with authenticity.
  • Experience collaborating with sales, support, product, marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • Creative, collaborative problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong storytelling skills to highlight developers building on Twilio and inspire others.
  • Preferred: familiarity with the North America and Latin America developer and industry landscape, including local communities, events, and programs.
  • Preferred: familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Preferred: ability to influence and build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Preferred: experience navigating emerging technology trends in Developer Relations.
  • Preferred: excellent influencing, problem-solving, consensus-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preferred: understanding of organizing and running developer program activities.
  • Preferred: prior experience leading relevant Developer Relations functions.
  • Preferred: experience supporting developers through regional Developer Evangelism or related roles.
  • Preferred: professional fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
