Description

  • Analyze standard and non-standard deal economics, including pricing, discounts, terms, usage commitments, and gross margin impact.
  • Partner with Sales to structure commercially sound deals within financial guardrails.
  • Build, maintain, and review financial models and pricing scenarios for deal approvals.
  • Own the Deal Desk workflow in Salesforce/CPQ, from quote creation and approvals through contract execution and opportunity closure.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Billing Operations, Corporate Finance, and Sales to improve deal velocity and data integrity.
  • Educate Sales and go-to-market teams on contracting policies, approval matrices, and discount governance.
  • Review non-standard Order Form language with Sales and Legal to align with risk and revenue recognition policies.
  • Identify recurring deal patterns, approval exceptions, and workflow inefficiencies for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree plus at least 2 years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or an analytical GTM/Deal Desk role.
  • At least 4 years of relevant analytical experience if no degree is held.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including the ability to explain financial tradeoffs clearly.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including financial modeling, logic formulas, and scenario analysis.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple high-volume requests under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with strong judgment, integrity, and willingness to ask clarifying questions.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, CLM, or JIRA preferred.
  • Based in Ontario, British Columbia, or Alberta, Canada; occasional travel may be required.
