Description

  • Deploy robotic systems at customer sites, including installation, commissioning, validation, and handoff.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on autonomous robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, and networking issues.
  • Execute repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and field modifications.
  • Support customer ramp-up, operational readiness, and ongoing system performance.
  • Document failures, collect field data, and assist with root-cause investigations.
  • Partner with Engineering to improve product reliability, serviceability, and maintenance procedures.
  • Support product validation, pilot deployments, and new product introductions.
  • Travel approximately 75% throughout the United States for service visits, deployments, upgrades, and emergency support.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, building, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
  • Experience with robotics, industrial automation, motors, sensors, actuators, drives, conveyors, CNC equipment, AGVs, AMRs, or similar systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, learn new technologies, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively; technicians are generally home most weekends.
  • Preferred experience includes robotics or field service, PLC troubleshooting, networking, Linux, ROS, fabrication, machining, welding, 3D printing, military technical work, or startup environments; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is also valued.
