Description

  • Administer Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio Manager for Enterprise, including host pools, session hosts, workspaces, autoscaling, automation, permissions, and platform health.
  • Troubleshoot AVD and Nerdio issues involving provisioning, connectivity, FSLogix profiles, performance, automation jobs, configuration, and access policies.
  • Maintain, patch, test, version, and deploy standardized golden desktop images across virtual and physical workstations.
  • Manage and optimize Microsoft Intune profiles, compliance policies, security baselines, device groups, assignments, and policy architecture.
  • Improve Windows Autopilot provisioning, enrollment status pages, deployment profiles, device assignments, and zero-touch deployment processes.
  • Support Microsoft Entra ID security controls, including Conditional Access, RBAC, PIM, Just-In-Time administration, Windows LAPS, and least-privilege access.
  • Support Tanium and CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint visibility, patching, software deployment, inventory, compliance reporting, and protection.
  • Monitor capacity, utilization, image compliance, service health, incidents, and operational trends; produce recurring reports.
  • Onboard agencies and business units into the governed AVD/Nerdio environment and verify operational readiness.
  • Develop SOPs, runbooks, governance standards, onboarding procedures, and technical support documentation; collaborate with customers and stakeholders on reviews, changes, maintenance, and incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent technical education, professional certifications, and significant hands-on enterprise engineering experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Hands-on enterprise experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra ID, and endpoint management.
  • Experience with Tanium and CrowdStrike Falcon is required for the assigned endpoint lifecycle responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Conditional Access, RBAC, PIM, Just-In-Time administration, Windows LAPS, and least-privilege security practices.
  • Experience with desktop imaging, patching, automation, monitoring, governance, documentation, and operational support.
  • Nerdio, Azure/AVD, Intune/Endpoint Manager, and/or Tanium certifications preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, customer-facing, collaboration, technical documentation, and change-management skills.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise or public-sector environments preferred.
