Description

  • Provide leadership and management for planning studies, environmental assessments, permitting, and regulatory requirements for the Mount Nansen Remediation project.
  • Direct activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments, and permit applications.
  • Lead regulatory efforts from planning through execution and completion.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve environmental design aspects and streamline regulatory processes.
  • Develop an integrated project schedule and critical path for end-to-end project activities.
  • Interface with government, stakeholders, and communities to advance permitting and water licence activities.
  • Represent the project in regulatory and community meetings, workshops, and events, and oversee presentation materials.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes that may affect the project and share updates within the JV.
  • Conduct senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs within area(s) of expertise.
  • Support risk analysis and help ensure environmental health and worker safety compliance.

Requirements

  • University degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of environmental permitting experience.
  • Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting settings.
  • Experience building relationships with and engaging First Nations and all levels of government.
  • Knowledge of Yukon and British Columbia impact assessment and licensing regimes for resource development projects, with experience in other jurisdictions preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
