Description

  • Monitor EPR programs, PRO plans, material lists, harmonization efforts, and reporting requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Interpret primary legislation and program requirements, translating regulatory changes into actionable guidance.
  • Represent rePurpose Global in policy consultations, comment periods, industry coalitions, and working groups.
  • Translate regulatory research into operational approaches and partner with product and engineering teams to embed them in the platform.
  • Answer complex regulatory questions from customers, prospects, and internal teams.
  • Create regulatory briefs, assessments, explainers, and other educational content.
  • Provide authoritative talking points and regulatory guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Background in EPR, packaging or environmental policy, sustainability, or regulatory affairs.
  • Deep expertise in plastics or packaging policy, circular economy, or waste management, including governance, financing, PRO structures, and enforcement.
  • Ability to interpret statutory and program text across multiple jurisdictions and develop clear operating approaches.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, webinar, live Q&A, and writing skills for non-expert audiences.
  • Experience building programs, content, and structure in new or evolving areas.
  • Ability to turn regulatory research into structured, repeatable systems and collaborate with product and engineering teams.
  • Confidence working with producers, prospects, regulators, and industry groups.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, changing guidance, compressed deadlines, and fast-moving regulatory environments.
  • Track record of independently owning a domain in a remote, cross-functional team.
  • Preferred: experience with sustainable chemicals, biomaterials, fibers or textiles; state or provincial EPR; EU PPWR; eco-modulation; D4R; regulatory content; additional languages; brand-side engagement; or policy advocacy.
