Description

  • Lead cultural resources field crews and archaeological/historic resources projects from planning through reporting.
  • Conduct research, field surveys, monitoring, testing, data recovery, and historical research.
  • Prepare consultation materials, data recovery plans, monitoring plans, report writing, site forms, and artifact curation.
  • Support Section 106 and Section 110 compliance under the NHPA, including technical studies and permitting.
  • Coordinate project mobilization and demobilization to field sites.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical and operational support to junior staff, project managers, and cultural resource personnel.
  • Lead proposal development, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, agencies, and Tribal representatives.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality technical products through independent and quality review processes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist credential.
  • Ability to hold state and federal permits in New Mexico and Arizona.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably 8 years in progressively responsible cultural resource roles.
  • Experience in the desert southwest and intermountain west region, including work with architectural historians.
  • Familiarity with GIS data management and collaboration with GIS professionals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, professional writing, problem-solving, and people skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, development, and management.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and post-employment drug and alcohol testing, including fit-for-work testing.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Preferred: ability to be permitted in Texas, Utah, Colorado, or Nevada.
  • Preferred: 10+ years of field experience.
