Description

  • Lead, develop, and grow a team of Product Analysts and Data Scientists.
  • Set goals, plan work, and drive execution against Product Data Science objectives and OKRs.
  • Raise standards for analytical quality, experimentation rigor, and data science application across the organization.
  • Review and shape high-impact analytical work, experimentation design, and advanced modeling.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Commercial to define priorities and roadmaps.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical and data science problems.
  • Drive adoption of scalable analytical frameworks, experimentation standards, and AI-enabled tooling.
  • Champion best practices in experimentation, causal inference, segmentation, and customer understanding.
  • Build partnerships with Data Platform, Data Engineering, and other central data functions.
  • Hire, coach, and manage performance to strengthen team capability and leadership.
  • Remove blockers to analytics delivery by improving tooling, processes, and ways of working.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders across multiple product domains to improve decision-making discipline.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data science or a similar quantitative role.
  • Proven track record supporting and influencing a product organization.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Deep hands-on experience with statistical modeling, experimentation, multi-arm bandit methods, and machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, and clustering.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and operationalize product and feature-level metrics from scratch.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and communicate complex insights to cross-functional partners.
  • Experience scaling analytics or data science capabilities through automation, self-service tools, or data products.
  • Strong critical thinking and evidence-based decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding leadership experience mentoring, coaching, and developing analysts or data scientists.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across all levels.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and drive outcomes across Product, Engineering, Data Platform, and central functions without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Preferred: experience in a high-scale technology company, marketplace, e-commerce business, or travel technology organization.
  • Preferred: background in Product Data Science, Data Science, Experimentation, or Machine Learning before moving into leadership.
  • Preferred: experience building experimentation platforms, measurement frameworks, self-service capabilities, or data products.
  • Preferred: experience applying AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, or automation to analytics and decision-making.
  • Preferred: experience leading organizational change and raising analytical maturity across teams.
