Description

  • Own the month-end close process for each park/entity in NetSuite, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and reporting packages with variance and trend analysis.
  • Maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations for accounts receivable, security deposits, customer prepaids, and other revenue-related accounts.
  • Support audit and tax requests with organized documentation and schedules.
  • Manage revenue accounting for monthly rent charges by coordinating data from the property management system.
  • Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries and reconcile payment processor activity to rent charges and bank deposits.
  • Investigate and resolve timing differences, chargebacks, refunds, and unmatched transactions.
  • Oversee accounts payable workflow, including bill entry, coding, approvals, documentation, and cash disbursements.
  • Complete bank reconciliations, prepare weekly cash reporting, and monitor bank balances for liquidity concerns.
  • Calculate and record intercompany settlements and management fees, partner with park managers and leadership on transaction questions, improve processes, and support budgeting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, including GL, bank reconciliations, bill entry, journal workflows, and reporting.
  • Strong full-cycle accounting experience with ownership of month-end close.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
  • Experience reconciling revenue and cash activity across multiple systems, including property management platforms and payment processors such as Stripe.
  • Strong internal controls and cash management experience.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation schedules.
  • Experience managing multiple entities with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across operations and leadership teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • CPA certification and/or 7+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in multi-site operations such as real estate, hospitality, or multi-location businesses preferred.
  • Experience with property management platforms such as Firefly, Buildium, or AppFolio preferred.
  • Prior exposure to audit coordination and tax workpapers preferred.
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes preferred.
  • Full-time availability with a 40-hour workweek commitment.
  • Flexible to work in the US timezone.
  • Able to maintain a distraction-free work-from-home setup.
  • Laptop or desktop meeting minimum specifications of 8GB RAM and i5 operating system.
  • Reliable high-speed internet with a minimum speed of 10 MBPS.
