Description

  • Lead and contribute directly to full-stack product development across back-end services, APIs, front-end experiences, and templates.
  • Build scalable features using large datasets and convert complex legal information into customer-facing product experiences.
  • Partner with Product and Design to translate requirements into reliable, well-executed applications.
  • Triage technical issues, bugs, and product requests to help prioritize work and keep the team focused.
  • Manage and support engineers through 1:1s, feedback, coaching, career development, and project guidance.
  • Collaborate with back-end, data science, and R&D engineers on data initiatives, system improvements, and product launches.
  • Provide technical leadership by defining implementation plans, reviewing approaches, and upholding engineering standards.
  • Help filter priorities, unblock work, and create a clear, focused environment for the team.
  • Own meaningful projects across both the back end and front end.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with a track record of shipping production software.
  • Experience leading engineers through complex projects as a tech lead, engineering manager, or hands-on team lead.
  • Strong Python experience and working knowledge of a Python web framework; Django experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of API architecture, front-end JavaScript frameworks, and server-rendered/front-end template development.
  • Ability to translate product and design requirements into clean, scalable, and maintainable applications.
  • Strong judgment in balancing technical quality, product needs, team capacity, and delivery timelines.
  • Comfort managing both technical execution and people leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with AWS, Linux, Celery, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar infrastructure and data-processing tools is preferred.
  • Experience with Vue JS, Vike for SSR, JQuery, and TypeScript is preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale datasets, search products, analytics tools, or data-heavy applications is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal tech, public records, court data, or other complex data domains is preferred.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
